New Pattern: Bradshaw

Bradshaw is a seamless baby and children’s cardigan sized for newborns to 10 years and worked from the top down.

The children’s sizes (2-10 years) feature pockets that are worked together with the body of the sweater while the baby sizes (0-6 and 6-12 months) are pockletless.

The pattern utilizes picked up stitches to create a seamless construction, and the cables are both fully written and charted. Knitters may work from either set of directions as they prefer.

The sample shown is a size 4 on a 4 year old in the 90th percentile for height and 80th for weight.

New Pattern: Duara

A couple months ago I told you about what has been inspiring me as of late and referenced an upcoming pattern collection.  Here's a sneak peek of that collection by way of an early pattern release.  The rest of the 5 pattern accessory collection will be out later this fall but for a limited time you can pre-order the entire collection (and have the Duara pattern now) for just $16.

Duara, meaning circle in Swahili, features motifs of interlocking circles connected by a wide panel of extended ribbing.  It is completely reversible so as to be appealing no matter how you wear it.  I have special coupon codes available for my newsletter subscribers.  You can put your name on that list and get the discounts by filling out the form here.

Tutorial: Knitting on a Cabled Edge
